We are a small, Scotland-based design studio that specialises in calligraphy for weddings and other events. We combine traditional calligraphy techniques with modern design aesthetics to create timeless designs for invitations, place cards and other stationery items.
We offer a range of calligraphy services, from handwritten invitations and on the day elements, to one-of-a-kind pieces of calligraphy artwork. Whether you're looking for a classic or contemporary look, we’re here to make your celebration unforgettable.
Meet the artist
Emma is a graphic designer and calligrapher from Scotland. As a child she had a passion for penmanship, spending hours practising her handwriting, perfecting every loop and flourish. Emma set up Nethy Studio while studying Graphic Design at Duncan of Jordanstone and made the leap to full time calligrapher after graduating in 2021.
Emma has an eye for detail and loves creating beautiful calligraphy designs. With years of calligraphy experience, Emma has specialised in a variety of calligraphy styles, from traditional copperplate to modern calligraphy and can create custom designs which are tailored to your specific needs.
In her free time Emma can be found on Instagram sharing her personal calligraphy practice and at The Paper Kind writing about her love of pens, pencils and notebooks.
